With new practitioners popping up left, right and centre the choices can be confusing, and many people are influenced purely on price - sometimes leading them to be pressurised into 'deals' that are usually too good to be true. This can leave them feeling regretful and disappointed at best, scarred or disfigured at worst.

Unfortunately, the aesthetics industry is almost entirely unregulated, which means that currently ANYONE can provide injectable aesthetic treatments, leading to a surge in the number of non-medical practitioners and even reality TV stars carrying out injectable procedures without the appropriate skills, experience or clinically suitable premises.

Worryingly, since the pandemic there has been a huge increase in the number of complications arising from aesthetic procedures, with non-medical practitioners being unable to recognise or treat complications such as allergic reactions, infections, blood vessel damage, tissue necrosis etc; leading to complications being left unrecognised and untreated. 

If complications are not recognised and left untreated this can have drastic consequences on the person's physical appearance and mental well-being.
