Microneedling is an advanced regenerative treatment designed to improve skin quality by stimulating the skin’s natural repair and renewal processes. Microneedling triggers the production of collagen and elastin, helping to smooth and rebuild the skin over time.
At Halo Aesthetics®, we offer a range of advanced microneedling options tailored to different skin concerns and levels of skin ageing. Treatments include medical-grade Dermapen microneedling, radiofrequency (RF) microneedling, microneedling combined with polynucleotides and microneedling with exosomes for enhanced skin repair and recovery.
Microneedling can be highly effective for concerns including:
Rather than simply resurfacing the skin, these treatments work by encouraging healthier skin function and regeneration from within. Every treatment plan is personalised and may also incorporate advanced skincare and inside-out skin health strategies to optimise long-term results.
Microneedling and radiofrequency microneedling both stimulate collagen by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin, but radiofrequency microneedling also delivers heat energy into the deeper layers to enhance skin tightening and remodelling. Traditional microneedling is ideal for improving texture, acne scarring, enlarged pores, pigmentation and overall skin quality with minimal downtime. Radiofrequency microneedling is better suited to skin laxity, deeper wrinkles, crepey skin and more advanced signs of ageing due to its stronger tightening effect. During your consultation, we will assess your skin and guide you on which option is most suitable for your concerns and goals.
Your treatment begins with a detailed consultation and skin analysis to assess your skin concerns, evaluate your skin condition, and discuss your desired outcomes. Before the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to maximise comfort. We then carry out the treatment using our FDA approved microneedling device, Derma pen or Sylfirm X, adjusting the settings to suit your skin and treatment goals. Following your session, you may experience some redness similar to mild sunburn, which typically settles within a few days. As the skin heals and regenerates, you will begin to notice improvements in texture, tone and overall skin quality. For best results, we usually recommend a course of 3–6 treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart, depending on your concerns and the condition of your skin.
"Your honesty and knowledge is reassuring that I'm having the right treatments for a natural looking, best version of me. I feel in safe hands at Halo Aesthetics."
